John does a nice job of breaking down the proper procedure for choosing a bathroom stall. I’ll never forget getting an e-mail years ago with similar ideas about choosing the proper urinal. These concepts should be instinctive, yet some people just don’t get it. Damn renegades!

First Spike Lee, Now KRS-ONE
Injunctions for everyone! KRS-ONE just got an injunction to stop Koch Records from releasing his unfinished album Kristyles. Check out what Kris, who is never at a loss for words, had to say about this situation – KRS-One is Brimming With Anger (and Acronyms).
Blogging in Brasil
This looks interesting. The BBC has sent a reporter to Brasil to follow in the footsteps of Victorian explorer Sir Richard Burton. He will be blogging about his experiences each day for two weeks.
Finally, a TiVo and DVD Burner in One Box!
Pioneer has just announced the first DVD Recorders with TiVo service built-in. This machine sounds impressive, I just hope they implement it correctly. It’d be great to be able to archive programs from my TiVo onto a DVD.

Affirmative Action Response
Rob, the BusinessPundit, correctly states that the government should neither restrain nor aid the American people in their pursuits. (By the way, he used a quote from Thomas Jefferson, of all people, to make that point.) Rise of International Basketball Talent
This is sort of a follow-up to my earlier basketball post about the foreign invasion of basketball players. REAL Sports With Bryant Gumbel had an excellent report on international basketball this week. (The show will be rebroadcast a few more times if you missed it.) Here’s a synopsis of the show: For several years, a… Continue reading Rise of International Basketball Talent
Bridging the Racial Divide at Work
Fortune has an interview with one of the authors of The Race Trap: Smart Strategies for Effective Communication in Business & In Life Given all the chatter over the recent affirmative action rulings by the Supreme Court, this book needs to be read by a lot of people. Can’t we all just get along? 🙂
Google ‘Hateration’
Salon has a good article about the growing backlash against Google. It includes a discussion about how bloggers can manipulate Google’s results. 😮 As well as some coming threats to their throne from Microsoft and Yahoo!/Inktomi. Looks like things may get dicey for Google just as they’re likely to do an IPO.
Building a Better Napster
Here’s a good article about the challenges Roxio will face in reviving the Napster brand. I don’t know if anyone can come close to what Napster was in its heyday. Even Kazaa on its best day can’t touch the old Napster. But what I really want to know is when will all those old Prince… Continue reading Building a Better Napster
